Deck With Turned Spindle Railing and Boxed Stairs

Deck With Doweled Railing And Cascading Steps

All of our decks are custom built with #1 MicroPro treated Red Pine, which is the best material for use in decks. The #1 should represent that there are fewer knots, no wane or bark and of course no rot. This is inspected by the National Lumber Industry, and carries a manufacturers lifetime warranty against rot or deterioration. As a company, we are very pleased with Red Pine as a deck material. It produces less sap and less twisting, as compared to Yellow Pine or Ponderosa Pine. The option of composite or vinyl material is also available.

All of our decks are set with concrete, and the post is extended up to create a support for the railing. All of our railing is framed on both sides to create a finished, Good Neighbor® look. Elyria Fence will only use 2"x6" boards. It is common to see 5/4"x6" boards on other decks, however, in our experience this creates a very "spongy" deck to walk on. In this particular design, they have chosen a decorative doweled railing instead of the standard railing, however, it is still framed in on both sides. The stairs are boxed in with one set built to cascade out. A lattice skirting was also installed. As with everything we do, our decks are custom-built which allows the customer to be as decorative or simple as they choose.

For the convenience of our customers we provide installations year around, however, be sure to plan ahead on your installation. The summer months are very busy, and this will allow us to accomodate for your holiday parties or pool installation.
